Saxenda Side Effects

Saxenda has been the go-to drug for individuals seeking treatment for Type 2 diabetes and a remedy for weight loss. For many years, millions of people countrywide have trusted this drug to help them manage these health problems. But reports now suggest that some Saxenda side effects are more serious than most people know. And the scariest part is that some of these side effects have not been disclosed on the product's packaging.

That's yet another classic example of big companies milking millions of dollars from unsuspecting consumers while putting their lives at risk. It's even worse when you think that this product is actually meant to manage health problems, not add more to what you're already dealing with. If you or a loved one has experienced adverse side effects from using Saxenda, tell us about your case immediately. You may be able to pursue compensation for your injuries and damages.

Morgan & Morgan

  • What is the Saxenda Lawsuit All About?

    Novo Nordisk, the manufacturer of Saxenda, reportedly failed to disclose the potential side effects of using this drug to treat Type 2 diabetes and weight loss. Recent reports have shown that some patients have developed what doctors describe as "stomach paralysis" after using this weight loss medicine in the same class as Saxenda. Other popular medications implicated include Ozempic, Mounjaro, and Rybelsus.

  • What Is Stomach Paralysis?

    Stomach paralysis, medically known as gastroparesis, is delayed stomach emptying due to weakened or impaired stomach muscles. This condition occurs when the muscles in the stomach do not function properly, leading to slow or erratic movement of food from the stomach to the small intestine.

  • How Do I Know I Have Stomach Paralysis?

    Certain symptoms of gastroparesis have stood out in recent lawsuits filed against Novo Nordisk. Among these symptoms are nausea and vomiting, especially after eating. Other patients have complained of:

    • a sensation of fullness and discomfort even when they eat small meals;
    • bloating, abdominal distension, and discomfort due to digestion delays;
    • gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) and heartburn;
    • unpredictable blood sugar levels, especially among diabetes patients (which is ironic given that this medicine is meant to manage Type 2 diabetes);
    • unintended weight loss due to poor digestion and nutrient absorption; and
    • bacterial overgrowth and the formation of solid masses known as bezoars in the stomach.

    If you or a loved one has experienced these symptoms or anything similar, do not hesitate to contact us. We will review your case for free to determine whether you might be eligible for compensation.

  • How Do You Treat Gastroparesis?

    Treatment may involve dietary modifications (eating smaller, more frequent meals of easily digestible foods), medications to stimulate stomach contractions, and managing underlying conditions. Severe cases may require medical interventions.
