Generally, there is a three-day waiting period after the report of the injury, and on the fourth day, your compensation begins, ending on the 21st day.

If your injury is expected to keep you out of work for longer than 21 days, it’s possible to have the three-day waiting period waived and begin receiving benefits immediately.
