The following product recalls have been announced this week—make sure you’re in the know.
2020–2025 Stellantis Alfa Romeo Giulia and Stelvio Vehicles
Stellantis is recalling 62,910 U.S. vehicles, specifically the 2020–2025 Alfa Romeo Giulia and Stelvio models, due to an increased risk of crash. A combination of printed circuit board (PCB) and software defects may prevent the rearview camera from displaying properly, which could result in a blank, black, or inverted screen.
Abiomed Automated Impella Controller
The Food and Drug Administration has issued a recall of Abiomed Automated Impella Controllers due to the potential for serious injury or death. Cybersecurity vulnerabilities related to network and physical access could be compromised and result in the product being exploited by a loss of control or having an unexpected pump stop.
OasisSpace Bed Rails
OasisSpace has recalled its Bed Rails due to a risk of serious injury or death from entrapment and asphyxiation hazards. Users can become entrapped within the bed rail or between the rail and mattress. One death has been reported.
E-Z-GO Personal Transportation Vehicles (PTVs)
Textron E-Z-GO is recalling its Personal Transportation Vehicles due to a risk of serious injury and fire hazard. The recalled PTV can leak fuel at the quick-connect fitting between the fuel line and the fuel injector mounted on the engine.
Wilteexs Bioethanol Fuel Bottles
Wilteexs has recalled its bioethanol fuel bottles due to a flash-fire hazard. The bottles do not include required flame mitigation devices mandated under the Portable Fuel Container Safety Act, allowing a flame to propagate back into the container and ignite the fuel. They also falsely label the contents as “Non Toxic,” violating federal rules under the Federal Hazardous Substances Act.
WLIVE Fabric 15-Drawer Dressers
WLIVE has recalled its fabric 15-drawer dressers (model ASNG105) due to tip-over and entrapment hazards. The dressers are unstable if not anchored to a wall, putting children at risk of being crushed or trapped.
Vaast A/1 Bicycles and Frames
Super Wheels (formerly Allite) has recalled its Vaast A/1 bicycles and frames due to a fall hazard. A hairline fracture can develop near a weld in the frame, which could cause the tubes to separate under load and lead to a fall.
RH Byron Emperador and Byron Reeded Stone Tables & Desks
RH is recalling its Byron Emperador and Byron Reeded Stone tables and desks due to a structural collapse risk. The recalled furniture may develop a gap between the tabletop and one or more legs, and if a horizontal force is applied, the tabletop can detach and collapse, posing a risk of injury.
AOWOS 12-Drawer Fabric Dressers
AOWOS has recalled its 12-drawer fabric dressers due to tip-over and entrapment hazards. The dressers are unstable if not anchored to the wall, posing risks of serious injury or death to children.
NordicTrack RW900 Rowing Machines
iFIT has recalled its NordicTrack RW900 rowing machines due to a fire hazard. The screen console can overheat and ignite.
VST Gas-Fired Tankless Water Heaters
VESTA.DS is recalling its VST-brand gas-fired tankless water heaters due to a carbon monoxide (CO) poisoning hazard. The exhaust duct can crack, allowing gases to escape inside the home.
2021–2025 Yamaha Drive 2 Personal Transportation Vehicles
Yamaha has recalled approximately 19,300 of its Drive 2 Personal Transportation Vehicles (PTVs) from model years 2021 through 2025 due to a crash hazard. The affected vehicles lack stop lights, increasing the risk of serious injury or death in low-visibility conditions.
2017–2024 Yamaha DR2A and DR2E Golf Car Vehicles
Yamaha has recalled approximately 4,300 of its 2017–2024 DR2A and DR2E golf car vehicles due to a crash hazard. The affected vehicles may fail to brake properly, posing a risk of serious injury or death.
2013–2016 Dodge Dart Sedans
Stellantis is recalling approximately 298,000 Dodge Dart sedans due to a rollaway risk. The transmission shifter cable can detach, preventing the vehicle from shifting into park and increasing the risk of unintended movement.
Nissan NV200 Vans and Chevrolet City Express Vans
Nissan is recalling 173,301 of its 2013–2021 Nissan NV200 vans, 2014–2017 and 2019 NV200 taxis, and 2015–2018 Chevrolet City Express model vehicles due to an increased risk of a crash. An incorrectly installed fuel pump could cause the engine to stall.
