How It Happened:
Between December 21 and 23, 2023, GeoLogics was hacked, and sensitive information was taken. GeoLogics only discovered the leak months later, on October 16, 2024. The company let the public know on May 5th, 2025.
What got leaked?
GeoLogics was responsible for safeguarding highly sensitive information. Instead, the breach exposed the following data, putting 11,948 people at serious risk:
- Full Names
- Social Security numbers
- Passport numbers
- Financial account numbers
- Driver’s license or state identification numbers
