National law firm Morgan & Morgan has filed a lawsuit against former NFL quarterback Jay Cutler on behalf of a Williamson County man who was rear-ended by Cutler last fall.

On October 18, 2024, the plaintiff was driving down Bridge Street in Franklin, Tennessee when Mr. Cutler drove into the rear of his vehicle. Mr. Cutler was allegedly following the plaintiff at an unsafe distance and driving at an unsafe speed. Mr. Cutler was also driving under the influence at the time of the crash, and pleaded guilty to that charge last Tuesday, according to news reports.

The attached complaint alleges that the plaintiff suffered a number of injuries as a result of the crash that continue to cause him pain and force him to seek medical treatment.

Below is a statement from Morgan & Morgan founder John Morgan and attorney Sydney Pierce:

“Our client is a veteran who was injured in a car crash due to the alleged negligence of another driver. His injuries from the crash cause him daily pain and have eroded his quality of life. We are seeking justice for him so he can get the care he needs and try to move forward with his life.”
