Morgan & Morgan has been retained by the family of Albert Gilbert who was tragically killed in a wrong-way collision on I-75 in Collier County involving a driver allegedly under the influence.

On the early morning of Wednesday, March 18th, Albert Gilbert was on his way home after dropping his wife off at the airport when he was killed by a car driving the wrong way, going northbound on southbound I-75. It was reported that the driver was given a blood test after the crash that showed a BAC of 0.213, nearly three times the legal limit. The driver has been arrested and charged with DUI manslaughter.

A statement attributable to Morgan & Morgan founder John Morgan and attorney Blake Lange follows:

“Albert Gilbert was a beloved and respected member of the Naples community, and his death has left an unimaginable void in the lives of his wife, family, and friends. We’re in the early stages of investigating this senseless tragedy, and we’re exploring all possible avenues for justice and aiming to hold those responsible for his death fully accountable to the greatest extent of the law.”
