Morgan & Morgan Adds Tom Hafen As Chief Marketing Officer

Hafen, the former Head of Auto Marketing at GEICO, joins America’s largest injury law firm
[New York, NY] – Morgan & Morgan announced today that marketing executive Tom Hafen is joining the firm as Chief Marketing Officer, based in the firm’s Brooklyn operations office. Prior to joining Morgan & Morgan, Hafen served as Head of Auto Marketing at GEICO.

Before GEICO, Hafen was Vice President of Consumer Marketing at Goldman Sachs and held other marketing leadership roles at Nestle, Microsoft, and Procter & Gamble. He has been a Lecturer in Management at Yale University School of Management and an Adjunct Professor of Marketing at Columbia Business School. His publications include research on digital marketing and U.S. business history. Hafen received his MBA and PhD from the University of Chicago.

Morgan & Morgan’s Marketing and Operations Department, which consists of more than 150 people, is led by Chief Growth Officer Yehuda Apfelbaum, who will oversee Hafen’s new role as CMO. The scale of – and collaboration between – numerous teams, including Engineering, Creative, Social Media, Public Relations, Email Marketing and Operations, sets the firm apart in the legal industry.
The Marketing Team also encompasses an in-house creative agency, led by Chief Creative Officer Carlos Wigle, which designs a theme for its advertising each year. The annual theme is part of Morgan & Morgan’s groundbreaking approach to legal advertising – both in terms of the creative model and its original content. The firm’s marketing efforts span local and national media across a wide variety of outlets and channels, including traditional billboards and TV and radio commercials, as well as partnerships with WWE, UFC, Barstool, Nascar, MLB, NBA, NHL, NIL, creators, podcasters, influencers, and YouTubers.
