The following data breaches have been announced this week—make sure you’re in the know.

Bumble Inc. 

Bumble Inc. has reported that one of its contractors’ accounts was recently compromised in a phishing incident, providing the cyber hacker group ShinyHunters unauthorized access to private data on its network. The compromised data may include:

  • Internal company data,  including partner contracts, invoices, and onboarding guides.
  • Employee data, including personally identifiable information (PII) such as full names, home addresses, and CVs (resumes) of employees and job candidates
  • Contractor data
  • Business operations

Crunchbase 

Crunchbase suffered a data breach in January 2026, when the hacker group ShinyHunters gained unauthorized access to its network and published leaked files after a failed extortion attempt. The compromised sensitive and private data may include:

  • Full names
  • Email addresses
  • Sensitive internal documents
  • Signed business contracts.
  • API tokens 
  • Passwords

Match Group

Match Group platforms, including Hinge, Tinder, OkCupid, and Match.com, suffered a data breach on January 28, 2026, when the hacker group ShinyHunters reportedly stole over 10 million private records from the company’s network. The compromised private user data may include:

  • Full names
  • Biographical text
  • User matches
  • Email addresses
  • Phone numbers
  • Unique Mobile Advertising IDs (MAIDs) and IP addresses
  • Transaction IDs
  • Amounts paid for premium features
  • Corporate receipts
