Carlton Fields Law, a Florida law firm that focuses on litigation, business law, healthcare legal services, and appellate practice, suffered a data breach around February 13, 2025, when an unauthorized party accessed sensitive and confidential information from its network. Details of the breach remain pending.
MedRevenu
MedRevenu recently suffered a cybersecurity incident in December 2024 when an unauthorized party acquired access to its systems containing patient data, including protected health information (PHI) governed by federal HIPAA regulations and California’s stringent privacy statutes. The data breach compromised the sensitive information of thousands of California patients, including:
- Patient Names
- Dates of birth
- Social Security numbers
- Drivers’ licenses or other government ID numbers
- Medical record numbers
- Treatment information
- Health insurance information
- Financial account information
- Payment card numbers
Inland Physicians
Inland Physicians suffered a data breach in December 2024 due to its business relationship with MedRevenu, a third-party billing vendor that was targeted by cybercriminals. The Inland Physicians cyberattack exposed data reportedly including:
- Names
- Contact information
- Medical diagnoses
- Treatment histories
- Prescription records
- Health insurance details
- Social Security numbers
CFD Investments
CFD Investments reported that it suffered a data breach between March 15, 2025, and May 9, 2025, when an unauthorized party accessed and copied the sensitive information of 6,689 victims from its network. The data breach involves private, confidential information, including:
- Full Name
- Social Security Number
