Meet Melissa C. Taylor
Melissa Croxton Taylor was born and raised in Birmingham, Alabama, where her passion for helping others and thriving in the courtroom first took shape. She earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Alabama at Birmingham in 2001 and went on to receive her law degree from Cumberland School of Law in 2004. Around the same time, Melissa also served as a military intelligence officer in the U.S. Army Reserves, a role she held until 2007, gaining valuable experience in leadership, discipline, and strategic thinking.
With more than 21 years of litigation experience, Melissa has practiced on both the plaintiff and defense sides, giving her a well-rounded perspective on how cases are built, evaluated, and tried. She became an attorney because she genuinely enjoys advocating for people and excels in the courtroom environment. Her background allows her to approach each case with confidence, preparation, and a strong understanding of the strategies used on both sides of litigation.
Today, Melissa is a trial attorney at Morgan and Morgan’s Birmingham office, where she focuses on personal injury matters, including car accidents, premises liability, and other negligence cases. Outside of her legal practice, she values time spent with her husband and her special needs sister. Melissa is also an accomplished equestrian and enjoys riding American Saddlebred horses, a passion that reflects her dedication, discipline, and competitive spirit both in and out of the courtroom.
