Meet William Pierce Honnold

William Pierce Honnold is an attorney in the firm’s Mass Torts Practice Group, where he focuses on complex litigation involving pharmaceutical drugs, medical devices, and emerging public health harms. He brings early experience supporting national litigations from case intake and development through expert depositions, bellwether trial preparation, and client settlement resolution.

William earned his J.D. from Loyola University Chicago School of Law, concentrating in healthcare litigation, medical malpractice, class actions, food and drug law, and healthcare data privacy. While at Loyola, he served as a 711-licensed attorney representing veterans in domestic relations court and taught at Englewood High School through Loyola’s Street Law program, where he led classes on constitutional rights, felony criminal procedure, and professional networking. He also worked with Loyola’s Maywood Medical-Legal Partnership, contributing to investigations into municipal water toxicity through FOIA requests and coordination with local elected officials.

During his final year of law school, William clerked at a Chicago-based medical malpractice firm, where he assisted in drafting dispositive motions and preparing expert depositions in high-stakes cases involving serious or permanent injury. Before law school, he spent several years as a part-time paralegal at Goza & Honnold, LLC, contributing to national litigations including JUUL, Xarelto, Social Media Addiction, and Bair Hugger.

William earned his B.B.A. in Finance, summa cum laude, from Texas Christian University, where he also minored in Entrepreneurship, Energy, and Management. He is admitted to practice in Kansas.

Outside of work, William enjoys golfing, exercising, reading, exploring new TV series and films, taking his dogs to the park, and spending time with family. He is a member of St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church in Kansas City.
