Meet Michael Weathington

Michael focuses his law practice on significant personal injury and wrongful death matters. Michael applies his knowledge of the inner workings of insurance companies' claims and extensive experience with complex trial tactics that he has gained since starting his law career to his work representing clients who have experienced catastrophic injury or loss.

After graduating from law school with honors, Michael began his career at one of the world's largest and top-ranked law firms, where he defended large corporations and institutions in state and federal courts across the country, including personal injury cases, wrongful death lawsuits, multi-district litigations, and other high-stakes litigation. Michael then spent two years at another national civil defense firm defending large corporations and insurance companies in personal injury and wrongful death cases. After years of handling substantial litigation for defendants, Michael decided to follow his heart and focus his career on assisting families who have experienced catastrophic loss. Now, Michael uses his unique prior experience at large defense firms to help injured individuals and their families get justice in their civil cases.

In recognition of his advocacy for his clients, Michael's peers honored him by nominating him as a 2022 Best Lawyers Ones to Watch and a Georgia Super Lawyers Rising Star for the years 2023-2025.

Before entering the practice of law, Michael graduated cum laude from Georgia State College of Law, where he was active in both moot court and mock trial. Prior to law school, Michael graduated cum laude from the University of Georgia.

Michael lives in Sandy Springs with his wife and their daughter, Eloise.
