Meet Mercedes Harvell
Mercedes Harvell is a Pre-Suit Attorney at Morgan & Morgan, where she provides client-focused legal representation. She earned her Juris Doctor from Boston College Law School and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and Politics from New York University, where she specialized in broadcast journalism and documented stories across New York City and Boston using a range of multimedia platforms.
While in law school, Mercedes was an active board member of both the Black Law Students Association and the Latin American Law Students Association. She also served as a Course Instructor at BC's College of Arts & Science, teaching undergraduate Environmental Law as part of BC Law’s Environmental Law Teaching Program. As an Environmental Law course instructor, Mercedes developed and co-taught a full-credit undergraduate legal course with a focus on environmental justice. Mercedes has also gained additional experience through summer associate roles and legal services.
Mercedes was born and raised in Massachusetts and has resided in both Boston and the surrounding suburbs. In her spare time, she enjoys distance running, baking, and playing volleyball.
