Meet Matthew S. Faher
Matthew S. Faher is a seasoned trial attorney with nearly two decades of experience advocating for injured workers and individuals facing complex legal disputes. Throughout his career, he has been committed to helping clients understand their rights, navigate the legal system, and pursue the benefits and compensation they deserve.
Matthew previously served as a Workers’ Compensation Judge. Prior to his judicial service, Matthew spent many years representing injured workers throughout Western Pennsylvania. He handled all phases of workers’ compensation litigation, from initial case evaluation through final resolution. His experience includes catastrophic injury claims, fatal claim petitions, and occupational disease cases involving exposure to hazardous substances. Matthew developed litigation strategies, prepared and examined witnesses, presented evidence, and negotiated settlements aimed at achieving the best possible outcomes for his clients.
Matthew also has significant appellate experience. Over the course of his career, he has briefed and argued matters before the Commonwealth Court of Pennsylvania and the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit.
In addition to his litigation work, Matthew has long been committed to educating workers about their legal rights. He has served as a speaker and instructor at more than one hundred seminars for labor organizations across Western Pennsylvania, including the United Steelworkers, the Communications Workers of America, and the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers.
Matthew earned his Juris Doctor from Duquesne University School of Law and his Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Pittsburgh. He is admitted to practice in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, the United States District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit.
