InjurySummary
In one of the first personal injury trials since the end of the Pandemic, Morgan & Morgan recovered $120 million for a client that was paralyzed by a city utility vehicle.
Case Study
As the pandemic came to a close, Morgan & Morgan hit the ground running. Our attorneys Brian McClain, Jeff Humphreys, and Brian Lee represented a 25-year-old man who was paralyzed by a Gainsville Utility Vehicle days before his 21st birthday. The driver of the vehicle claimed not to have seen the stop sign at the intersection of the accident, which caused his vehicle to collide with another car containing the 25-year-old in the passenger seat. The plaintiffs brought two claims to the courtroom: one regarding the negligence of the driver and the other concerning the city’s responsibility for their employee. The trial ran from May 3rd to May 6th, and after those three days of litigation, our attorneys recovered $120 million on behalf of our client. Although the victim will have to receive medical treatment for the rest of their life, they’re now able to afford it thanks to the compensation warranted by their settlement.
