Case Study
Two of Morgan & Morgan’s skillful attorneys, John Yanchunis and Ryan McGee, represented the plaintiffs in a class-action lawsuit against Google, discovering that software bugs exposed customer data within their social media platform from 2015 to 2018. According to the lawsuit, multiple users of Google’s social media service, Google+, sustained damages after app developers were allowed to exploit the software bugs and access user profiles, which prompted them to file a lawsuit. Google denied the allegations, but in the end, our team helped reach a $7.5 million settlement on behalf of the plaintiffs, allowing them the ability to move on.
