Meet Stephen B. Edwards
Stephen Edwards is an attorney in our Mass Tort Law & Briefing Group, where he focuses on briefing complex legal issues in cases with national scope. Prior to joining Morgan & Morgan, Mr. Edwards worked in a diverse range of legal roles, from counsel for State Commissioners of Insurance in insurer insolvency proceedings to representing street protestors seeking to vindicate their First Amendment rights. Across these positions, Mr. Edwards applied his intellect, discipline, and empathy to secure winning results for his clients.
Mr. Edwards has a special proficiency in appellate matters, having briefed and argued numerous cases before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit and the Pennsylvania appellate courts. He is active in bar association committees and other organizations committed to excellence in appellate advocacy, including the Appellate Advocacy Committee of the Pennsylvania Bar Association. Mr. Edwards finds motivation in the challenge of a difficult appeal and looks forward to the unique nuances of each one that comes across his desk.
Mr. Edwards supplements his legal practice with “extra-curricular” writing and speaking engagements. He has published articles in the Pennsylvania Bar Association Quarterly, The Pennsylvania Lawyer, and The Philadelphia Lawyer. He has also given multiple CLE presentations regarding developments in Pennsylvania jurisprudence at the Pennsylvania Bar Institute’s annual Legislative Summit.
Outside the law, Mr. Edwards enjoys reading, cycling, racquet sports, and exploring the cultural life of Philadelphia.
