Lee Edward Levenson Jr

Attorney
689-256-2118

Lee hails from Boynton Beach and Delray Beach, Florida, where his family has lived since the 1920s. He also has roots in Lake County—his great uncle, Rev. Neil Murphy, served as assistant pastor at St. Mary of the Lake in Eustis in the 1930s.

From an early age, Lee wanted to be a trial lawyer. He graduated from Lake Worth Christian High School in Boynton Beach, earned his undergraduate degree with honors from the University of South Florida, and received his J.D. from Western Michigan University Thomas Cooley Law School in 1993, where he was named Distinguished Student of his class. He later earned an LL.M. in Complex Litigation and Intellectual Property, graduating summa cum laude.

Lee excelled academically. Given the choice to write for law review or serve in the law clinic, he chose service—trying four cases before he was even barred. He went on to serve six years as an assistant public defender and 24 years as a civil trial lawyer representing injury victims.

Lee has tried over fifty cases before juries and judges in both state and federal courts across Florida and other states. His casework includes serious felony, injury, and tort matters. He’s achieved several significant verdicts and settlements, including:

  • $12,000,000 verdict for wrongful guardianship
  • $5,000,000 settlement for breach of fiduciary duty
  • $2,500,000 award for injuries due to negligent maintenance
  • $1,500,000 in an automobile negligence case
  • $450,000 for negligent equipment maintenance
  • $370,000 verdict for negligent maintenance of premises

Lee’s creed is: “Win or lose, we cannot win without trying.” He calls the people he represents "his people"—not clients.

Lee has been married to Jen for 34 years. They've been together since their teenage years and have four children, ages 5 to 28, and two beloved giant goldendoodles, Atticus and Truman.

Coming from an aviation family, Lee is also a hobbyist certificated pilot. He considers himself lucky to live the life he loves and love the life he lives. Being a trial lawyer and defending people from insurance industry accusations is his dream come true.

To further refine his skills, Lee earned an LL.M. focused on complex litigation, trial practice, intellectual property, internet, privacy, and computer law in 2005 from WMU in Rochester, Michigan.

Today, Lee handles cases throughout Central Florida and is admitted to all federal districts in the state. He is also a licensed HVAC technician.

A leukemia survivor, Lee knows firsthand what it’s like to suffer. He credits MD Anderson for his care and has passionately fundraised for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS), Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA), and MD Anderson.
