Meet Karighan Walker-Alicea
Originally from Jamestown, New York, Karighan Walker Alicea began her academic journey with a strong interest in public policy and advocacy. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Political Science with honors from Clemson University, where she also broadened her global perspective by studying abroad at the University of Belgrade, focusing on U.S. foreign policy and global politics. These early experiences helped shape her passion for justice and her commitment to understanding complex issues from multiple viewpoints.
Karighan went on to earn her Juris Doctor from Stetson University College of Law, where she was deeply involved in advocacy and leadership. She served as President of the Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity, acted as a Stetson Law Ambassador, and competed on Stetson’s nationally ranked Trial Team in both national and regional competitions, earning finalist and semifinalist honors. During law school, she also gained hands-on legal experience as a judicial extern for the Sixth Judicial Circuit, a Certified Legal Intern with Gulfcoast Legal Services, and a fellow at the Stetson Law Advocacy Center.
Today, Karighan is an attorney at Morgan and Morgan’s Tampa office, where she focuses on trucking accidents and personal injury cases. She brings a strong foundation in trial advocacy and a client-focused approach to every case, working diligently to pursue justice for her clients. Outside of the office, Karighan enjoys spending time with her dog, Milo, and cheering on the Clemson Tigers, staying connected to the interests and community that continue to inspire her both personally and professionally.
