Meet Shannon Pennock

Shannon Pennock began her legal career as an associate in the corporate restructuring practice at the prominent firm Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison in New York City. While working in corporate law provided her with a highly sophisticated understanding of complex financial systems and corporate behavior, she ultimately felt a strong calling to use her talents more directly for individuals in need. Driven by this passion, she chose to open her own independent law practice, where she dedicated herself to fighting for consumers, injured tort victims, and vulnerable communities. During this formative chapter of her career, Shannon also took on deeply impactful pro bono work, successfully obtaining political asylum for persecuted and tortured clients seeking safety in the United States.

Over the years, Shannon established herself as an elite force in mass torts and complex multi-district litigation, representing clients across the country in state and federal courts. She earned a spot on the prestigious Plaintiff's Steering Committee for the national proton pump inhibitor litigation and served as trial co-counsel in the high-profile hernia mesh litigation in the Southern District of Ohio. Her relentless work ethic placed her on the national legal teams for major pharmaceutical matters, including cases involving Fosamax, Actos, Accutane, and Vioxx. Most notably, she was part of a national team of lawyers that secured a monumental 671 million settlement for individuals severely injured by chemical contamination in the Ohio River.

Shannon’s exceptional trial skills reached another historic milestone in 2024 when she served as lead trial counsel in a high-stakes premises liability case in the Southern District of New York. Facing off against a leading international hotel chain, she secured a staggering 33 million jury verdict, which stood as one of the highest premises liability verdicts in that court's history. This landmark victory further solidified her reputation as a powerhouse in the courtroom who possesses the strategic brilliance and determination necessary to hold massive corporations accountable.

Because of her extensive record of success, Shannon is frequently invited to share her legal insight at major industry conferences. She has been a featured speaker at the American Association for Justice, Mass Tort Made Perfect, and numerous HarrisMartin events. Furthermore, she is regularly invited to speak at the prominent Multi District Litigation Judicial Summit, an exclusive annual event that draws federal and state court judges from all across the nation to discuss the future of complex litigation.

Today, Shannon brings this incredible wealth of national litigation experience and her deeply empathetic approach to her role at Morgan & Morgan. Outside of her demanding legal practice, she cherishes a vibrant personal life centered around her husband and three children. She is also a passionate supporter of the arts, serving on the Board of Trustees at the Museum of Fine Arts in St. Petersburg, Florida. As an active volunteer docent at the museum, Shannon loves giving back to her community by introducing local school children to beautiful art objects spanning over five thousand years of human history.
