Joseph Swist

Biography Overview

Joseph Swist is an attorney in the Philadelphia Office where he represents individuals who have been seriously injured or killed in premises liability accidents. He received his Bachelor’s Degree from Hobart College in 2012 and his Juris Doctorate from Notre Dame Law School in 2015. Since 2019, Joe has been recognized as a Pennsylvania Rising Star, an honor that only 2.5 percent of lawyers under the age of 40 receive.

Joe spent the first four years of his legal career representing corporate and insurance clients, which taught him valuable insight into how these companies think and operate. Prior to joining Morgan & Morgan, Joe spent two years working for an elite Personal Injury firm based out of Philadelphia. While at his prior firm, Joe was co-counsel for a trucking accident case that settled for $2,100,000 and a premises liability case that settled for $1,900,000. Joe was also lead counsel on numerous premises liability and motor vehicle accident cases that settled between $50,000 to $300,000.

Joe is licensed to practice law in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. Joe is a member of the American Bar Association and the Philadelphia Bar Association. Joe is also a member of the Notre Dame Law Club of Philadelphia, a club dedicated to connecting alumni from the University of Notre Dame that work in the legal field. Joe is also a member of The Hill School Alumni chapter in Philadelphia.
