Meet John Graves

John Graves was born and raised in Indiana, growing up in Fishers and developing a deep connection to the greater Indianapolis community from an early age. He began his higher education at Indiana University, immersing himself in his studies before pursuing his ambition to become a courtroom advocate. Driven to turn his passion for service into a legal career, John attended the University of Dayton School of Law, where he earned his Juris Doctor. Throughout his time in law school, he intentionally focused his coursework and practical training on trial advocacy, sharpening the procedural knowledge and courtroom skills necessary to champion clients effectively.

Following graduation, John returned home to Indianapolis to begin his legal career in public service as a prosecutor in Marion County. Stepping directly into the courtroom, he gained invaluable, hands on trial experience prosecuting complex matters and standing up for the community. John later transitioned into civil litigation, expanding his practice into insurance defense. In that role, he observed firsthand how insurance companies evaluate claims, assess risk, and construct defense tactics, gaining behind the scenes insight that would prove vital to his future advocacy.

With a well rounded perspective built on both prosecution and civil defense, John decided to dedicate his career to helping injured people navigate the civil justice system. Today, he channels that inside knowledge into plaintiff advocacy at Morgan & Morgan, anticipating defense maneuvers before they arise and crafting proactive legal solutions. Compassionate, approachable, and attentive, John takes the time to truly listen to his clients, ensuring they feel supported while he works tirelessly to achieve the accountability and compensation they deserve.

Outside the courtroom, John cherishes spending quality time at home with his wife and their newborn son. As a young family, they love making the most of every season together, whether they are getting outdoors to enjoy the fresh air or embracing all the fun milestones of new parenthood. Passionate sports fans, John and his family never miss an opportunity to cheer on the Indiana Hoosiers alongside their favorite Indianapolis teams.
