Meet Ashley Young
Ashley Young was born and raised in Los Angeles, CA. She attended both Azusa Pacific Universiy and University of Nevada, Las Vegas obtaining a Bachelor of Arts degree in (Physiological) Psychology in 2008. She went on to obtain a Master of Science degree in Family and Consumer Sciences from California State University, Northridge in 2011 with the focus in Family Studies. Ms. Young's educational journey continued at Pepperdine University where she obtained an Educational Doctorate in Educational Leadership, Administraation, and Policy in 2016. However, her desire to assist others in a legal capacity persisted and she became certified in Mediation and Alternative Dispute Resolution under Jack Goetz, Esq. at California State University, Dominguez Hills. Finally, she obtaned a Juris Doctorate (J.D.) from Trinity Law School in 2021.
Dr. Young has worked with lower socio-economic populations, primarily adolescents and young adults since 2005 and transitioned into private healthcare in 2016 focusing on supporting populations in receiving the appropriate mental health and substance abuse treatment they so keenly deserved. She worked in Utilization Review for eight and half years focusing on advocating for patient care completing with an over 85% success rate in overturning denied cases by completing Peer Reviews, Expedited Appeals, and Standard Appeals with board certified psychologists, psychiatrists, and medical doctors. Clients’ rights and healthcare compliance has been her focus and expertise which has translated to her legal representation of Applicant's in Worker's Compensation law, Medical Malpractice and Elder Abuse laws.
Beyond her legal practice, Ashley empowers underrepresented students through leadership initiatives, working to create supportive educational frameworks for their success. Her dissertation focused on Examining educational motivational factors in men of color community college students at a 2-year community college in Southern California.
Dr. Young has two teenage sons that are active and engaged in their community as admirable student-athletes. She spends her time attending football games, track and field events for them and enjoys traveling with her sons, reading, and learning and creating in the AI space.
