Meet Vivian Katwaroo
Vivian Katwaroo is a proud native Floridian whose educational journey began with home education and dual enrollment, culminating in her earning an associate degree from Hillsborough College at just 17 years old. She continued her studies at the University of Florida on a full Bright Futures scholarship, graduating cum laude in 2021 with a Bachelor of Arts in Criminology and a minor in Sociology. As a first-generation college graduate and first-generation lawyer, Vivian earned her Juris Doctor, cum laude, from Cooley Law School in 2024. During law school, she distinguished herself as the Valedictorian Graduation Class Speaker, earned Certificates of Merit in Torts, Criminal Law, and Pretrial Skills, and dedicated more than 278 hours to pro bono service through the Debt Relief Clinic, where she mentored incoming interns and received honors for exceptional client advocacy.
Following law school, Vivian immediately immersed herself in practical legal advocacy. She first focused on workers' compensation, assisting injured employees with claims intake, petitions for benefits, in-depth medical record reviews, litigation preparation, mediations, and depositions. Eager to build intensive courtroom experience, she then transitioned to public defense, serving as a certified legal intern and later as an assistant public defender. In that role, she represented individuals across juvenile, misdemeanor, and felony proceedings, actively handling motion hearings, depositions, negotiations, sentencing, and bench and jury trials, where she successfully secured not-guilty verdicts while championing diversion and treatment programs.
Today, Vivian channels that formidable trial training and sharp litigation background back into her passion for workers' compensation law at the Morgan & Morgan Tampa office. She understands how overwhelming a workplace injury can be for an individual and their family, and she takes pride in providing clear, empathetic guidance through every stage of the legal process. Dedicated to leveling the playing field against large insurance companies, Vivian works tirelessly to ensure injured workers receive the vital benefits, medical care, and justice they truly deserve.
Outside of the courtroom, Vivian embraces everything Florida has to offer. She loves traveling to new destinations, spending relaxing afternoons soaking up the sun at the beach, and making lasting memories with her close friends and family.
