Timothy S. Moran

Trial Attorney

Tim Moran started his legal career as an Assistant State Attorney at the 10th Judicial Circuit State Attorney’s Office where he was a prosecutor from 1996 to 2000.  Mr. Moran prosecuted various types of important criminal cases in circuit court, including major felonies.

In 2000, Mr. Moran left the State Attorney’s Office to go to work at an insurance defense law firm representing Allstate Insurance Company and State Farm Insurance Company, as well as their insured drivers.  After practicing insurance defense for approximately 2 ½ years, and learning how insurance adjusters and insurance defense attorneys strategize for pre-suit cases, litigation cases and trials, Mr. Moran began practicing personal injury law in the fall of 2002.

Mr. Moran has achieved numerous jury verdicts as the lead trial attorney with multiple million dollar verdicts, and he was one of two lead attorneys, including the attorney solely responsible for the entire damages aspects and arguments in a recent $3.25 million trial verdict in Duval County against Vystar Credit Union.  In July 2017, Mr. Moran obtained a $2.28 million verdict against a Duval County apartment complex in a trip-and-fall trial.  Prior to the jury trial, the insurance company's highest offer was only $50,000.

Mr. Moran is a Florida Bar Board Certified Civil Trial Attorney.  Board certification is a designation reserved for civil trial attorneys who have tried numerous circuit court jury trials and been deemed eligible by the Florida Bar to sit for the Board Certification Exam.  “Board Certification” is attained by only 3% of attorneys in the State of Florida, and is a designation Mr. Moran is extremely proud of.

Mr. Moran is happily married to his wife Allison, and they have two wonderful children: a son and daughter.  When Mr. Moran is not in the courtroom fighting for justice for his clients, he spends his time with his family and coaching his son in youth baseball.
