Headshot of Thomas O. Rainey, an Atlanta-based brain injury lawyer at Morgan & Morgan

Thomas O. Rainey

Trial Attorney
404-965-1934

Thomas “Torrey” Rainey is an experienced trial lawyer who handles a variety of personal injury cases. His trial skills provide the opportunity his clients deserve in order to recover full and complete compensation.

Before making the decision to work for the people, Torrey spent many years working for one of the premier, national insurance defense firms. There, he represented insurance companies, individuals and corporate defendants in a mixture of personal injury cases ranging from automobile and tractor-trailer collisions to premises liability and other catastrophic claims. This prior experience representing the insurance companies provides him a unique understanding into how the insurance companies attempt to defend injury cases. Prior to joining Morgan & Morgan, Torrey spent several years working for a boutique personal injury firm in Atlanta where he honed his trial skills and developed a deep understanding of the stress and worry that comes with suffering injuries from an unexpected accident. Torrey now brings that experience and knowledge to Morgan & Morgan for the benefit of his clients who have been injured through the negligence of others.

A native of Virginia, Torrey graduated from Hampden-Sydney College in 2006 with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. In 2012, Torrey received his Juris Doctor from John Marshall Law School in Atlanta where he was honored with The Outstanding Graduate Award. During law school, Torrey served as the Executive Articles Editor of the John Marshall Law Journal and interned for the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of Georgia. Torrey was also a National Finalist in the American Bar Association's National Negotiation Competition.
