Meet Taylor Jones
Taylor Jones built a strong academic and multilingual foundation early in her education, attending the University of Texas at Austin, where she was honored as a Foreign Language and Area Studies Fellow and developed fluency in both Italian and French. Driven by a commitment to public service and legal advocacy, she went on to earn her Juris Doctor from Georgetown University Law Center. During her time in law school, Taylor dedicated herself to community outreach, teaching practical legal skills to local high school students through the Georgetown Street Law Program.
Upon entering the legal profession, Taylor began her career in public service in Maryland. She honed her courtroom skills and gained valuable judicial insight by serving as a law clerk to the Honorable Harry C. Storm of the District Court of Montgomery County. She then stepped directly into the courtroom as a Special Assistant State’s Attorney in Montgomery County, representing victims of crime and advocating for the community in criminal proceedings.
Transitioning her practice to civil advocacy, Taylor focused her talents entirely on workplace rights, building a nationwide reputation as a champion for workers. She successfully handled complex overtime class and collective actions across almost every state in the country, recovering tens of millions of dollars in back wages on behalf of hardworking employees. Her appellate advocacy also made a lasting mark on federal labor jurisprudence when she briefed and secured a landmark opinion from the United States Court of Appeals for the First Circuit in Waters v. Day and Zimmerman NPS, establishing vital protections for out-of-state workers in Fair Labor Standards Act collective actions.
Today, Taylor brings that formidable trial and appellate background to the Morgan & Morgan team at the Orlando, Florida office. Her practice encompasses all areas of employment law, from wage-and-hour disputes to workplace discrimination and harassment claims, as well as large-scale collective actions. Compassionate, approachable, and relentless when standing up for workers, Taylor takes immense pride in giving everyday employees a powerful voice against corporate unfairness, ensuring her clients receive the dignity, respect, and compensation they are rightfully owed.
