Meet Tamara Van Pala Skrobacki
Tamara is a seasoned trial lawyer with more than a decade of experience handling complex legal disputes in court. Known for her strategic advocacy and client-focused approach, she is committed to helping injured individuals pursue the compensation they deserve.
Throughout her career, Tamara has managed pre-litigation and trial matters involving auto and trucking liability, workers' compensation, wrongful death, medical malpractice, healthcare, professional liability, premises liability, and class actions. She has prepared and argued motions, handled complex discovery disputes, drafted persuasive briefs, negotiated favorable settlements, and tried cases before judges and juries. She has served as first chair in more than 20 administrative trials, managing all phases of trial, including motions, openings, witness examinations, and closings.
Before joining Morgan & Morgan, Tamara was a partner at one of the nation’s largest law firms, where she represented insurance companies and major corporations. That experience gives her unique insight into defense strategies and how insurers evaluate claims. Today, she uses that knowledge to advocate effectively for individuals who have been injured through no fault of their own.
Tamara's commitment to public service continues to shape her practice. She clerked for a respected trial judge, gaining firsthand insight into judicial decision-making and trial strategy. As a public defender, she protected constitutional rights and advocated for underserved communities. She also served as a trial attorney for the North Carolina Department of Justice, where she developed a deep appreciation for the real-world impact legal disputes have on people's lives.
A proud Garner native, Tamara graduated from Raleigh Charter High School, earned her bachelor's degree with honors from the South Carolina Honors College, and received her law degree from the University of South Carolina, where she earned multiple accolades.
