Meet Stanton A. Fears
Stanton Fears is a dedicated and accomplished attorney at Morgan & Morgan, bringing a wealth of defense litigation experience to his personal injury practice. Born and raised in Buffalo, New York, Stanton remains an avid Buffalo Bills fan. He graduated from Morehouse College with a bachelor's degree in economics before moving to St. Petersburg, Florida, to attend Stetson University College of Law. While at Stetson, Stanton was actively involved in the school's Honor's Program, served as a teaching assistant for legal research, writing, and trial advocacy classes, and was a board member of the Black Law Student Association. As a member of Stetson's top-ranked Trial Team, he won a National Championship, defeating over 240 teams to claim the American Association for Justice's Student Trial Advocacy Competition title. Stanton remains connected to his alma mater as a Trial Team coach and guest judge.
After law school, Stanton began his legal career in Knoxville, Tennessee, where he worked as a civil defense litigation attorney before returning to St. Petersburg to serve as an in-house litigation attorney for Raymond James Financial. Over the years, Stanton has defended large and small companies at prestigious firms such as DLA Piper and Trenam Law. Now at Morgan & Morgan, Stanton is honored to use his advocacy skills to fight for the people, putting his extensive experience in litigation to work for those in need of justice.
Stanton has received numerous accolades throughout his career, including being named one of Knoxville's Top Attorneys in 2017. His achievements during law school were equally impressive, earning awards like the Edward D. Foreman Most Distinguished Student Award and the Outstanding Advocate Award. He is admitted to practice law in Florida, Tennessee, multiple U.S. District Courts, and the United States Tax Court. Outside work, Stanton enjoys spending time with his family and cheering on the Bills.
