Meet Stacy M. Kirven
Stacy has called Wyoming home since childhood and currently resides in the booming state capital of Cheyenne. She earned dual Bachelor of Arts degrees in Criminal Justice and Political Science from Gonzaga University in 2011 and received her Juris Doctor from the University of Wyoming College of Law in 2014.
Stacy began her legal career as an associate attorney in Sheridan, Wyoming, where she practiced in the areas of domestic relations, criminal defense, immigration, and workers’ compensation. In 2019, she founded Kirven Law, LLC, which grew into an established law firm with Stacy and her associates representing clients in an array of matters spanning from child custody and high-asset divorces to misdemeanors and felonies in district courts across Wyoming to appellate matters before the Wyoming Supreme Court.
After nearly a decade in private practice, Stacy shifted her focus to public service. She now serves full time as a public defender, representing defendants in complex, high stakes felony matters in Cheyenne, Wyoming. Stacy is dedicated to ensuring access to justice for underserved populations.
Stacy joined the Morgan & Morgan team in 2020 and has provided strategic analysis and research on issues in connection with various class action and mass tort lawsuits. She enjoys the variety of legal issues that Morgan & Morgan provides and values the opportunity to contribute to high-impact litigation that seeks justice for clients on a national scale.
In addition to her legal work, Stacy is pursuing a Doctorate in Psychology with a specialization in Criminology and Justice Studies, further deepening her commitment to advocacy and reform within the criminal justice system.
Stacy is licensed to practice in all state courts in Wyoming and Montana, as well as the United States District Court for the District of Wyoming.
