Meet Sophia Walker
Sophia Walker grew up in Iowa, surrounded by the legal profession from an early age. With both of her parents practicing law, she developed a deep appreciation for courtroom advocacy, fairness, and client service, knowing early on that she wanted to follow in their footsteps and become an attorney. She pursued her undergraduate education close to home at Drake University, laying a strong academic foundation for her future legal career.
During her time as an undergraduate, Sophia began exploring employment law and quickly discovered her true calling. Fascinated by the intersection of workers' rights and daily livelihoods, she decided early on to dedicate her career to this area of practice. Ever since completing her legal education, employment law has remained the single, unwavering focus of her career.
Today, Sophia brings her lifelong dedication and deep industry knowledge to the team at Morgan & Morgan, where she advocates for workers facing unlawful treatment in the workplace. Her expansive practice covers a wide spectrum of employment disputes, including discrimination, sexual harassment, retaliation, wrongful termination, unpaid wages and overtime, and Family and Medical Leave Act violations. She also regularly handles claims involving disability discrimination and failure to accommodate, pregnancy discrimination, age discrimination, race discrimination, national origin discrimination, religious discrimination, and gender discrimination.
