Meet Sarah Jones

Sarah Jones discovered her lifelong passion for community advocacy well before entering the courtroom. Prior to law school, she dedicated herself to national service through the AmeriCorps National Civilian Community Corps, traveling across the country to complete more than 1,200 hours of hands on volunteer work. Her selfless commitment to uplifting communities in need earned her both the prestigious Presidential Volunteer Service Award and the Congressional Service Medal, establishing a guiding principle of service that continues to define her legal career.

Eager to channel that drive into legal advocacy, Sarah attended the University of Memphis Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law, graduating in May 2025. Throughout her legal studies, she distinguished herself as an exceptional oralist and brief writer, winning the school's Advanced Moot Court Competition along with the Best Brief Award before serving as Associate Justice to oversee the competition the following year. She represented her university nationally in Boston and San Francisco in the American Bar Association National Appellate Advocacy Competition, was inducted into the Order of Barristers, and led numerous student organizations, including serving as president of the Tennessee Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers student chapter. Reflecting her heart for helping others, she earned the Dean’s Distinguished Service Award and the Platinum Pro Bono Service Award from the Tennessee Supreme Court.

Following graduation and her admission to the Tennessee Bar and the United States District Court for the Middle District of Tennessee, Sarah entered private practice to stand up for individuals during some of the most challenging moments of their lives. In this early phase of her career, she developed a broad, client centered litigation foundation handling sensitive criminal defense, family law, and immigration matters. Navigating these deeply personal cases reinforced her empathy, sharpened her courtroom instincts, and deepened her dedication to giving everyday people a strong, compassionate voice within the legal system.

Today, Sarah brings that unwavering dedication to advocacy and service to Morgan & Morgan, where she works tirelessly to protect and support her clients through the recovery process. Whether she is preparing a case, negotiating with opposing counsel, or guiding a client through an unfamiliar court procedure, she approaches every matter with warmth, clarity, and determination. Sarah believes that every person deserves to feel heard, respected, and championed, and she fights diligently to ensure everyday individuals receive the accountability and justice they deserve.

Originally from Mt. Juliet, Tennessee, Sarah loves staying connected to her local community. When she is not advocating for her clients, she enjoys exploring nature on local hiking trails, catching live music around town, and relaxing at home with her cat.
