Meet Nick Nepustil

Nick Nepustil has built a stellar legal career right in the heart of Illinois, quickly establishing himself as one of the most talented and respected young voices in the plaintiff's bar. Early in his professional journey, his dedication and sharp trial instincts earned him a historic achievement when he became the youngest partner in the more than fifty-year history of a prominent Chicago personal injury law firm. During this influential period, Nick honed his courtroom advocacy skills and developed a deep understanding of complex tort law, proving himself early on to be a fierce and effective advocate for individuals seeking justice.

His exceptional talent inside the courtroom has earned him remarkable recognition from the judiciary. In fact, a trial judge in the Circuit Court of Cook County recently paused proceedings to note that they admire Nick immensely, calling him one of the best attorneys to ever practice in that court. This high praise is backed by an impressive track record of appellate success, as Nick has helped shape Illinois law through his involvement in several noteworthy published decisions, including Wingert v. Hradisky, Armstead v. National Freight, Inc., and First Midwest Bank v. Rossi.

Beyond his daily practice, Nick is deeply committed to advancing the legal profession and consumer advocacy across the state. He serves as an influential member of the Illinois Trial Lawyers Association Board of Advocates and lends his legal expertise as the co-chair of the organization's amicus curiae committee. Nick is also an accomplished author and thought leader within the legal community, recently publishing a widely read article in the Winter 2026 issue of the Trial Journal exploring the nuances of negligence and legal standards of care.

Today, Nick brings his championship-level advocacy and extensive experience to Morgan & Morgan's Chicago office, where he serves as the head of the general negligence division. In this leadership role, he focuses his practice on high-stakes and catastrophic litigation, including serious slip-and-falls, premises liability, commercial and house fires, negligent security, and sensitive sexual assault or abuse cases. Known for his warm, friendly approach with clients and his relentless work ethic, Nick combines deep legal knowledge with true compassion to ensure that families and individuals receive the highest level of representation during their most challenging times.
