Meet Kyle Schiedo

Kyle Schiedo built his legal foundation at the Maurice A. Deane School of Law at Hofstra University, attending on a full academic scholarship and earning his Juris Doctor. During his time in law school, Kyle distinguished himself as an exceptional legal scholar and oral advocate, serving on the Hofstra Law Review and earning the title of New York State Champion in the National Trial Competition. His natural talent and dedication in the courtroom were honored with both the New York State Bar Association Award for Excellence in Trial Advocacy and the New York City Trial Lawyers Alliance Award for Excellence in Trial Advocacy, establishing a lifelong passion for trial work.

Following law school, Kyle launched his legal career as an Assistant District Attorney in Nassau County, where he quickly gained intensive courtroom experience early in his practice. Serving as lead counsel in more than a dozen successful jury trials, he developed deep mastery over trial strategy, courtroom presentation, and evidence evaluation while advocating for the community. Committed to giving back to the legal profession, Kyle has also maintained strong ties to his alma mater as an Adjunct Professor and trial advocacy coach, mentoring law students and helping the next generation develop the critical courtroom skills needed to become powerful advocates.

After his service as a prosecutor, Kyle transitioned his practice to championing injured plaintiffs, dedicating the next seven years to high-stakes personal injury litigation. During this time, he devoted a significant portion of his career to representing survivors of childhood sexual abuse, standing up against governmental entities, religious institutions, and other large organizations under New York’s Child Victims Act. Taking cases from discovery through verdict, Kyle successfully argued landmark appeals before the Appellate Division across the First, Second, and Third Departments, securing tens of millions of dollars for his clients, including over $15 million in resolved claims against the City of New York and an individual $5 million settlement.

Today, Kyle brings his seasoned courtroom instincts and compassionate advocacy to the Morgan & Morgan New York office, where he serves as a trial attorney handling complex personal injury matters. Approachable, empathetic, and relentless in the pursuit of justice, Kyle understands the profound challenges injured individuals face when confronting powerful institutions. He works tirelessly on behalf of everyday people, combining his formidable trial experience with genuine client care to ensure those he represents receive the accountability, dignity, and full compensation they deserve.
