Julian J. Catala is a Partner at Morgan & Morgan, where he represents clients in matters involving medical malpractice, personal injury, and wrongful death.

Julian’s practice is grounded in trial work. He began his legal career as an Assistant State Attorney in Miami-Dade County, where he prosecuted serious cases and developed the courtroom discipline, judgment, and preparation that continue to shape his approach as a plaintiff’s lawyer.

Afterward, Julian spent a decade at a prominent South Florida litigation firm focusing on complex medical malpractice cases. His work in this area reflects a deep understanding that medical negligence litigation demands more than legal knowledge—it requires mastery of complex facts, strategic expert development, and the ability to present difficult medical issues clearly and persuasively.

Julian brings a strong foundation of precision and analytical thinking to his practice. He earned his undergraduate degree from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and holds a commercial pilot’s license, training that emphasizes discipline, attention to detail, and decision-making under pressure. He applies those same principles in handling high-stakes injury and medical malpractice cases.

He received his Juris Doctor from Stetson University College of Law in 2012 where he was a member of the nationally recognized trial team.

Outside of his practice, Julian is a devoted husband and father of four. He lives in South Florida, where much of his time is spent with his family, enjoying time together.
