Meet Joseph Gjelaj

Joe brings creative problem-solving, effective communication, and strategic collaboration skills to his personal injury practice. He also brings exceptional educational achievements and practical experience that benefit clients.

Joe is a first-generation attorney who graduated magna cum laude from Michigan State University College of Law. Joe was an associate editor for the Michigan State Law Review and participated in the University's Trademark Moot Court. He sharpened his trial advocacy skills with his involvement in the Geoffrey Fieger Trial Practice Institute (TPI), a highly selective and intensive two-year trial practice program. As a participant in the Great Lakes First Amendment Clinic, Joe taught high school students about the First Amendment and certain intellectual property rights. He was also a finalist in a best brief competition, highlighting his proficiency in legal writing. Joe's exceptional academic performance led to his receipt of the Jurisprudence Achievement Award in four courses, including advocacy and trial.

After graduating law school, Joe spent his first two and a half years as a practicing attorney prosecuting patents before deciding to return to his roots. Before law school, Joe worked as a physical therapy and occupational therapy assistant at a local hospital for seven years. In that role, Joe found helping people get back on their feet incredibly rewarding. As a personal injury attorney for Morgan & Morgan, Joe similarly takes pride in helping his clients recover.
