Biography Overview

For 15 years, Joey Johnsen defended doctors (like his father) and hospitals (like those that employed his mother as an RN). But, after 15 years of work as the defense attorney, he became disillusioned with insurance companies’ disregard for their constituents.

For this reason, Joey Johnsen started prosecuting claims against insurance companies. It is within this area that he focuses his trial practice in federal and state trial courts across Tennessee.
