Meet John Ghaly
John Ghaly serves as Morgan & Morgan’s Lead Workers’ Compensation Attorney in Michigan, bringing years of experience in insurance defense to his advocacy for injured workers. A Southeast Michigan native and graduate of Troy Athens High School, he earned his B.A. in English with a minor in Japanese from Oakland University before receiving his J.D. from the University of Akron School of Law.
While at Akron Law, John Ghaly was a Social Justice Fellow and volunteered with the school’s Reentry Clinic, where he assisted rehabilitated individuals seeking expungements and other relief from past convictions, aiding them in finding avenues towards gainful employment. After becoming licensed in Michigan, he spent several years as an insurance defense attorney handling workers’ compensation, automobile negligence, no-fault, and other injury-related matters. That experience gave him valuable insight into how insurance companies investigate, evaluate, and defend claims.
Today, John leads Morgan & Morgan’s workers’ compensation practice in Michigan, using his knowledge of the insurance industry to advocate for injured workers. He is committed to helping people navigate the uncertainty that follows a workplace injury, protect their livelihoods, and secure the benefits they need to get back on their feet.
