Meet James Schaefers

James Schaefers built his academic and professional foundation right in the heart of California's capital region. He completed his undergraduate studies at California State University Sacramento, graduating in 2009. Driven by a strong desire to advocate for others in his community, James then attended Lincoln Law School of Sacramento to pursue his legal education. He deeply immersed himself in civil litigation and courtroom strategy, ultimately earning his Juris Doctor in 2014 and establishing a sharp legal skillset rooted in the local community.

Upon entering the legal arena, James focused his practice exclusively on personal injury matters beginning in 2015. Over the course of his career, he gained invaluable, well-rounded experience by representing both plaintiffs and defendants on behalf of insurance carriers. This unique dual perspective gave him a highly sophisticated, inside understanding of exactly how insurance companies evaluate claims, manage risk, and approach litigation. By mastering the legal process from both sides of the aisle, James developed a comprehensive strategic advantage that allows him to effectively anticipate the defense's moves and build exceptionally strong cases for his clients.

Today, James brings his extensive litigation background and insider knowledge of insurance to Morgan and Morgan, where he proudly represents personal injury and civil litigation clients throughout Sacramento County. Licensed to practice across California, he channels his strategic insight and determined work ethic into securing the full recovery and justice that injured individuals and their families deserve. Outside of his demanding practice, James enjoys a rewarding personal life in the Sacramento area, where he loves spending quality time with his wife and their daughter.
