Attorney Jacob D. Sternberger joined Morgan & Morgan’s Philadelphia office in January 2017, and is the general manager of Morgan & Morgan’s consumer protection website ClassAction.com. Sternberger focuses his practice on helping individuals sue big, negligent corporations and recover compensation for physical injuries, financial losses, and other harm.
Sternberger was born and raised in Western Pennsylvania with the blue-collar values of his family of machinists, barbers, nurses, and other hard workers. Sternberger attended public school, where he was elected President of his class. He graduated summa cum laude from Dickinson College in just three years, with a B.A. in Political Science and a certificate in Security Studies, and was inducted into the Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society. He then earned his Juris Doctor at the Pennsylvania State University Dickinson School of Law.
Prior to his legal career, Sternberger worked on various political campaigns across Pennsylvania. After working for Congressman Mark Critz’s re-election campaign, Sternberger managed Mayor Tim Scott’s historic election as the first African American mayor of Carlisle and the first Democrat in over three decades. Sternberger then co-authored former Navy Admiral and U.S. Congressman Joe Sestak’s book, which the Washington Post hailed as “filled with policy proposals.” Mr. Sternberger then served as Admiral Sestak’s campaign manager in his 2016 run for U.S. Senate – the closest and costliest U.S. Senate primary election of the cycle.
Sternberger is admitted to practice in all state courts in Pennsylvania, as well as the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. He is a board member of the Pennsylvania Alliance and serves on the Future Leaders Section of the Pennsylvania Association for Justice.
