Meet Hunter Ames
Hunter Ames is an attorney at Morgan & Morgan’s Washington, D.C. office, where he focuses on personal injury law with a commitment to advocating for those who have been wrongfully injured. A proud graduate of Florida State University, Hunter earned his Bachelor of Science degree in 2015. He went on to attend the University of Florida Levin College of Law, where he received his Juris Doctor in 2022. His legal training was shaped by a desire to serve his community and protect the rights of individuals facing challenging circumstances.
After law school, Hunter began his legal career as an Assistant Public Defender in Columbus, Georgia, from September 2022 to August 2024. In that role, he represented thousands of clients charged with both felony and misdemeanor offenses. He conducted hundreds of preliminary hearings, cross-examined witnesses, and made crucial evidentiary objections. His efforts frequently resulted in charge reductions or complete dismissals. Hunter also successfully negotiated bond agreements in high-pressure situations and served as second chair in a felony trial that resulted in a not guilty verdict, conducting both voir dire and cross-examination.
