Meet Humberto Ochoa Jr.

Humberto Ochoa, Jr. built his educational foundation in Illinois, beginning with his undergraduate studies at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. Growing up as the proud son of two hardworking blue-collar parents, he developed an early appreciation for the challenges working families face every day. Driven to channel that perspective into legal advocacy, Humberto earned his Juris Doctor from Chicago-Kent College of Law at the Illinois Institute of Technology. During law school, he distinguished himself as a published author and member of the Seventh Circuit Review, and he completed focused coursework to earn a specialized Certificate in Labor and Employment Law.

Upon entering legal practice, Humberto dedicated his career to protecting injured workers across Illinois. Over the years, he has successfully guided hundreds of clients through the intricacies of the state's workers' compensation system, regularly advocating on their behalf before the Illinois Workers' Compensation Commission and related state courts. His hands-on experience handling administrative hearings, presenting evidence, and negotiating settlements has enabled him to develop a nuanced understanding of how to overcome bureaucratic delays and hold employers and insurers accountable.

Today, Humberto brings that dedicated advocacy and deep personal commitment to the Morgan & Morgan team, where he focuses exclusively on representing workers' compensation claimants. Warm, approachable, and deeply empathetic, he takes pride in demystifying the legal process for his clients and ensuring they feel supported every step of the way. Outside the office, Humberto cherishes his free time with his family, making lasting memories at home with his wife and their one-year-old son.
