Meet Greg S. Horner

Greg Horner began his professional journey with a strong foundation of service, spending nearly a decade from 1990 to 1999 working as an aircraft technician in the United States Army. Following his honorable military service, he turned his focus toward higher education, earning his Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from Marshall University in 2003. Driven by a desire to transition into the legal field, Greg then attended Campbell University School of Law, where he mastered civil litigation and legal strategy before graduating with his Juris Doctor in 2006.

Upon entering the legal arena, Greg spent two highly successful decades building an elite reputation as a defense attorney with a complete emphasis on workers' compensation law. He quickly rose to the level of partner at a prominent defense firm, where he spent ten years protecting the interests of employers and insurers. He then advanced into key leadership roles at another national litigation firm, serving as both the North Carolina Workers' Compensation Practice Leader and the Administrative Partner for the Raleigh office. Throughout his twenty years on the defense side, Greg represented some of the largest employers and insurance carriers in North Carolina, spanning heavy industry, government, law enforcement, manufacturing, and healthcare. This extensive tenure included handling countless mediations, hundreds of hearings, and multiple appellate court appearances, giving him a sophisticated, high-level understanding of exactly how insurance companies and employers evaluate and fight workplace injury claims.

Today, Greg has proudly brought his wealth of insider knowledge and seasoned trial skills to Morgan & Morgan's Raleigh office, where he now focuses his practice entirely on representing injured workers. By switching sides, he is able to utilize his twenty years of defense-side insights to level the playing field for his clients, out-strategizing insurance companies to ensure that everyday workers receive the full benefits, medical care, and dignity they deserve. Defined by his sharp legal acumen and a highly determined approach, Greg commands the courtroom and guides families smoothly through the complexities of the workers' compensation system.
