Meet Deron T. Roberson

Deron Roberson is a Tampa native and employment lawyer at Morgan & Morgan who represents workers whose rights have been violated in the workplace.

Deron represents employees in federal and state employment disputes involving workplace discrimination, sexual harassment, retaliation, family and medical leave, unpaid wages and overtime, and whistleblower claims. He regularly litigates cases under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Family and Medical Leave Act, the Fair Labor Standards Act, 42 U.S.C. § 1981, the Florida Civil Rights Act, and the Florida Private Whistleblower Act.

He began his legal career representing labor unions and their members before joining an Am Law 100 firm in Tampa, where he defended large corporations in employment disputes. That experience gave him valuable insight into how employers investigate, defend, and litigate workplace claims.

Before joining Morgan & Morgan, Deron co-founded a law firm and built a plaintiff-side employment practice focused on protecting workers and holding employers accountable. He handled every stage of employment disputes, from client consultations and administrative proceedings to settlement negotiations and litigation in state and federal court.

Deron earned both his Bachelor of Arts and Juris Doctor from the University of Florida and has been recognized as a Florida Super Lawyers Rising Star. He is married, has two children, and enjoys spending time with his family and cheering on his children at their sporting events.
