Meet David Stark

David (D.J.) Stark is a trial attorney serving clients in Washington, DC, and Maryland. Mr. Stark focuses his practice representing victims of negligence related to automobile accidents.

Prior to joining Morgan & Morgan, Mr. Stark was a seasoned litigator and public servant. Mr. Stark began his career as a public defender in his hometown of Fort Lauderdale, FL, representing children and adults accused of misdemeanor and felony crimes. In 2017, Mr. Stark moved to Washington, DC, and began working for the DC Office of the Attorney General, prosecuting child abuse and neglect cases.  During his time with DC OAG, Mr. Stark completed a rotation with the Office of the Solicitor General, in which he litigated and argued cases before the DC Court of Appeals.  In 2023, the DC OAG recognized Mr. Stark's work protecting the best interests of DC's children with the its Karl A. Racine Trial Lawyer of the Year Award.  After serving in the DC Office of the Attorney General, Mr. Stark served in the Office of the General Counsel for the DC Department of Behavioral Health, providing expert legal advice to DC DBH regarding regulatory and legal affairs concerning mental health and substance use issues.

Mr. Stark is a graduate of the University of Florida and the Florida State University College of Law.  While at FSU Law, Mr. Stark earned a book award for the highest grade in his international comparative contract law class and he was a member of FSU Law's Journal of Transnational Law and Policy.  Mr. Stark is licensed to practice law in the District of Columbia, Maryland, and Florida.
