Daniel Watts

Trial Attorney

Dan is a born and bred New York City trial attorney who has represented the interests of accident victims for over a decade. His interest in advocacy started as an undergraduate at Binghamton University where he was a teaching assistant for the speech and debate team and continued at the Maurice A. Deane School of Law at Hofstra University.  At Hofstra, he was a member of two championship mock trial teams.  Additionally, as a law student, he received an “A” in a study abroad class co-taught by the late great United States Supreme Court Justice Ruth B. Ginsberg.

As a professional, Dan has maintained a record of staunch advocacy and tremendous results.  Over a dozen of his verdicts have been published in ALM’s VerdictSearch.  Unlike many trial lawyers, Dan has also represented defendants in personal injury cases, therefore giving him unique insight into how insurance companies and corporate defendants prepare for trial and negotiate.  He now looks forward to taking those lessons to Morgan and Morgan where he can represent the people, not the powerful.

From 2017-2021 Dan was named a Rising Star by SuperLawyers Magazine for the NYC Metro Area, an award that is only given to 2.5% of eligible attorneys.

Dan also has the unique distinction of taking one of only twelve verdicts taken in New York City during the COVID-19 Pandemic. No matter the time, no matter the place, no matter the circumstances, Dan is ready to fight for you.
