Meet Clarence Turpin

Clarence Turpin began building his foundation of dedication, leadership, and perseverance through his lifelong passion for athletics. Competing in sports and staying active instilled in him a deep appreciation for teamwork, discipline, and performing under pressure, qualities that naturally led him to pursue a career in courtroom advocacy. Outside of his early pursuits, he developed a strong commitment to public service and community involvement, laying the groundwork for a legal practice built on integrity, clear communication, and standing up for others.

Upon entering the legal profession, Clarence dedicated the early years of his career to public service as both an Assistant Attorney General and an Assistant District Attorney for the State of North Carolina. In these roles, he handled hundreds of complex cases from initial investigation all the way through resolution. He worked closely alongside law enforcement officers, forensic investigators, medical professionals, and expert witnesses to evaluate evidence, prepare witnesses, conduct discovery, and litigate high-stakes matters in both state and federal courts.

Over nearly a decade of trial and litigation experience, Clarence developed a deep, well-rounded understanding of how cases are investigated, evaluated, and resolved. Representing state agencies in federal civil litigation and prosecuting criminal matters provided him with invaluable insights into litigation strategy, evidence analysis, and high-level negotiation. Recognizing how seamlessly these skills translate into helping everyday people, he transitioned his practice to civil advocacy, using his extensive trial background to stand up for individuals seeking justice and fair compensation after serious injuries.

Today, Clarence brings his strategic insight, seasoned courtroom experience, and personalized approach to every client he represents, ensuring they feel supported and confident at every stage of the legal process. Outside of his law practice, he remains deeply connected to his love of sports and the outdoors. Clarence stays active by playing golf and basketball, participating in local recreational sports leagues, biking, hiking, and rooting for Virginia Tech athletics, while continuing to give back to his community through regular volunteer work.
