Meet Chase W. Moorehouse

Before he argued cases, Chase Moorehouse mopped floors. As a janitor at Costco, he learned a lesson that never left him: everyone’s voice deserves to be heard, whether the person speaking is a warehouse manager or the customer nobody else stopped to help. That lesson followed him into his next career, though it did not take center stage. Chase moved into information technology, where the work was steady and the human connection was not. He wanted a job that put that lesson first. Law was the answer.

At the University of Alabama School of Law, Chase served as Articles Editor for the Journal of the Legal Profession and competed in the John A. Campbell Moot Court Competition. In his final year, he joined the Civil Law Clinic, where he represented tenants against landlords who counted on them not fighting back. He won some of those fights. He lost none of the lessons.

Chase now practices general liability law at Morgan & Morgan’s Nashville office, representing plaintiffs against defendants who are used to winning: insurers with deep pockets, corporations with teams of lawyers, institutions that count on the little guy folding first. He brings the same conviction from the Costco floor to the courtroom: every client’s voice matters, and someone should make sure it gets heard.
