Meet Carter Gibb
Carter Gibb grew up in Central Florida before attending the College of Charleston, where he graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in English and a minor in Spanish. He later moved to Nashville to attend Belmont University College of Law, earning his Juris Doctor in May 2025.
While at Belmont, Carter competed on the school’s moot court team for two years, developing his skills in legal research, persuasive writing, and oral advocacy. His work earned him the Best Brief award at a national moot court competition. During law school, Carter also worked with Triage Cancer, a national nonprofit, helping individuals affected by cancer understand their legal rights involving employment, health insurance, and related issues.
Before joining Morgan & Morgan, Carter served as in-house counsel for Stryker, a multi-state automotive dealership group, where he advised on commercial agreements, corporate governance, regulatory compliance, employment matters, and licensing. His legal career also builds on several years of experience in the private aviation industry, where he worked in a highly regulated, client-focused environment.
Carter now serves as a Pre-Suit Attorney in Morgan & Morgan’s Nashville office, advocating for individuals who have been injured through the negligence of others. He is a member of the Belmont University College of Law American Inn of Court, Nashville Bar Association, and Tennessee Bar Association.
Outside the office, Carter enjoys traveling, spending time on the lake, and being with his friends and his dog.
