Meet Carlos A. Fernández

Carlos Fernandez was born and raised in Miami, Florida, where he completed his early education at Belen Jesuit Preparatory School while gaining valuable experience in various roles as an IT specialist. He then pursued his undergraduate studies at Emory University, earning degrees in both Political Science and English in 2014. Driven by a passion for service and advocacy, Carlos went on to complete his Juris Doctor at the University of Florida Levin College of Law. During law school, he served as a trial practice teaching assistant while focusing his coursework on taxation, financing, accounting, and entrepreneurship. He also dedicated significant time to giving back, volunteering at the St. Francis House and Florida’s Eighth Judicial Circuit Family Law Court, earning an Outstanding Certificate in Community Service.

Upon graduating, Carlos relocated to Atlanta and launched his legal career as a family law attorney, assisting individuals through sensitive domestic matters. He then transitioned into public service as a prosecutor with the Fulton County Solicitor General’s Office, handling cases from the jail to the courtroom while introducing innovative technological advancements to the office. During his impactful public service tenure, Carlos was selected to assist federal and local law enforcement during the Summer 2020 protests. Following his time with the State, he entered private civil defense practice, representing business owners and corporations in complex litigation matters involving premises liability, personal injury, and Section 1983 civil rights claims.

This extensive defense experience gave Carlos invaluable, behind-the-scenes insight into how insurance carriers and corporations evaluate claims. Seeking to use those strategic insights to directly help individuals, he transitioned into plaintiff's personal injury law. Today, Carlos serves as a dedicated personal injury attorney at Morgan & Morgan's Alpharetta office. Fluent in Spanish and barred in both Georgia and Florida, Carlos brings immense compassion and skill to every case, guiding real people through real trauma whether they are recovering from a car accident, a fall, or confronting a legal system that feels stacked against them.

Outside of his law practice, Carlos continues his commitment to empowering families through education and real estate. He earned his real estate license and founded his own real estate company, Casa Realty, to guide buyers and sellers through the market while offering free educational resources to the community. Carlos holds a long-term vision of educating both children and adults on financial literacy and real estate, helping everyday families build lasting security and transform their lives for generations to come.
